Definition of FIAM: ascribed to characteristics of impact-induced phase change and self-healing, FIAM is capable of responding to impact loads intelligently and instantaneously. Adopting the material design system based on mechanical environment dominated reverse optimization techniques, FIMA composite materials with multiple systems are developed for a wider range of anti-impact applications. FIAM is applicable in composite materials, battlefield environments, launching environments, extreme sports and silent environments.
